Condizioni d'uso dell'app

Ultimo aggiornamento: 28 ottobre 2026

1. Chi siamo e cosa fa l'app

L'app TadaMenu è offerta da Queria S.r.l., Via Alessandro Tadino 52, 20124 Milano (MI), Italia, C.F. e P. IVA 14607970960.

  • il ristorante, quando il menu è pubblicato su TadaMenu: piatti, prezzi, ingredienti e allergeni li inserisce il ristoratore, che ne risponde. Alcune informazioni possono essere state proposte dall'intelligenza artificiale e non ancora verificate dal ristorante: in quel caso l'app lo dice («Possibile allergene (stima automatica, non verificata dal ristorante)»). L'app ti dice anche se il ristorante ha dichiarato di aver verificato gli allergeni di quel piatto;
  • il menu che fotografi o il sito che apri: il testo viene letto in modo automatico, e la lettura può contenere errori di trascrizione;

Come trattiamo i dati è spiegato nell'informativa privacy.

  • pagamento, rinnovo automatico e disdetta sono gestiti dallo store, con l'account con cui hai acquistato, e seguono le condizioni dello store;
  • la disdetta va fatta dalle impostazioni degli abbonamenti dello store, e vale dalla fine del periodo già pagato: cancellare l'app o l'account TadaMenu non disdice l'abbonamento;

9. Modifiche a queste condizioni

App Terms of Use (English)

This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian text prevails.

The terms on which Queria S.r.l. makes the TadaMenu app available to you for reading restaurant menus. The app asks you to accept them before saving your dietary profile and when you create an account: without an account the acceptance stays on your phone, with an account we also record it on our server. If you run a restaurant, the Terms of Service apply to you instead.

1. Who we are and what the app does

The TadaMenu app is provided by Queria S.r.l., Via Alessandro Tadino 52, 20124 Milano (MI), Italia, VAT no. 14607970960. It helps you understand a restaurant menu: you open it from a QR code or take a photo of it, and the app shows it to you translated, with ingredients, allergens, estimated calories and wine pairings, read through the dietary profile you choose to set.

2. Not a medical tool

TadaMenu helps you read a menu. It is not a medical device and not medical or nutritional advice. It does not replace your doctor's advice or the information the restaurant must give you.

If you have an allergy or intolerance, always ask the restaurant staff before ordering, even when the app flags nothing. An allergen that does not appear is not proof that the dish does not contain it: it may only mean that nobody listed it. When information is missing, the app tells you so («ask the staff»).

3. Minimum age

You must be at least 14 years old to use the app. In Italy this is the age from which you can consent on your own to the processing of your data (art. 2-quinquies of Legislative Decree 196/2003). By accepting these terms you confirm that you are.

4. Where the information comes from

The information in the app has three different sources, and the app keeps them apart:

  • the restaurant, when the menu is published on TadaMenu: dishes, prices, ingredients and allergens are entered by the restaurant, which is responsible for them. Some information may have been proposed by artificial intelligence and not yet checked by the restaurant: in that case the app says so («Possible allergen (automatic estimate, not verified by the restaurant)»). The app also tells you whether the restaurant has declared that it checked the allergens of that dish;
  • the menu you photograph or the website you open: the text is read automatically, and the reading may contain transcription errors;
  • artificial intelligence estimates: anything not written on the menu — descriptions, likely ingredients, possible allergens, calories, pairings — is an estimate, is labelled «AI estimate» and may be wrong, in either direction.

The signals the app works out from your profile (such as «for you» or «avoid») rely on this same information and share its limits. Suggested wines only come from the restaurant's own wine list. Translations may also be automatic, and therefore inaccurate.

5. Always ask the staff

The restaurant is the food business operator responsible for the food information on what it serves (EU Regulation 1169/2011), and the staff are the people who can answer for a recipe, a new supplier or cross-contamination in the kitchen. Before ordering, if an ingredient matters to you, ask.

6. Your dietary profile and consent to health data

You can set allergies, intolerances, diets and a calorie preference. The profile works without an account too and, unless you choose otherwise, it stays on your phone only.

Allergies, intolerances and diets, together with your meal history, are health data (art. 9 of EU Regulation 2016/679). To store them on our server and sync them to your other devices we ask for your explicit, separate consent, with a box that is never pre-ticked. Without that consent the app works just the same, with the data on your phone only.

You can withdraw your consent at any time from the app's Options: allergies, diets and meal history are deleted from the server and stay on your devices only. Withdrawal does not affect what was done before it. Your profile is never sent to restaurants.

How we process your data is explained in the privacy notice (in Italian).

7. Subscription through the stores

Some features, such as reading a photographed menu beyond the free trials, require a subscription. It can be bought only through Apple's App Store or Google Play, at the price and for the period shown by the store before purchase.

  • payment, automatic renewal and cancellation are handled by the store, with the account you used to buy, under the store's terms;
  • you cancel from the store's subscription settings, effective at the end of the period already paid: deleting the app or your TadaMenu account does not cancel the subscription;
  • refunds follow the store's rules: on the App Store Apple decides them; on Google Play you request them from Google, and you can write to us, because in that case we can also issue them through Google Play.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

8. Account and deletion

An account is optional. If you create one, you can delete it at any time from the app, on the account screen, by confirming with your password. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

What we delete

Your account, the dietary profile stored on the server, your meal history, open sessions and the subscription transaction records linked to your account. The cost of artificial intelligence processing remains in our accounts under a random identifier that cannot be linked back to you. Apple, Google and RevenueCat, which manages subscription status for us, keep purchase data under their own rules.

What we keep, and for how long

We keep the proof of consents and acceptances (which text, which version, date, time, IP address and device type) for 10 years, because we need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims (art. 17(3)(e) of EU Regulation 2016/679). The proof does not contain your allergies or diets.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we publish the new version here, with the date at the top. The app asks you to accept it the next time you save your dietary profile or create an account. Until you accept the new version, the terms you had accepted continue to apply. If the text of the consent to health data changes, the app asks for it again before syncing that data.
